Qualifications & Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Reliable, professional, and customer-focused.
  • Based in San Francisco or the Bay Area and knowledgeable about the region.
  • Strong English communicators.
  • Comfortable providing both professional driving and guided-tour services.
  • Able to communicate confidently and provide engaging, informative commentary.
  • Friendly, courteous, adaptable, and comfortable working with guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and customer service.

Physical Requirements & Work Expectations

This is an active, hands-on position. Our guides may spend extended periods driving, walking, hiking, standing, and guiding guests outdoors, sometimes on uphill, downhill, uneven, or challenging terrain.

Depending on the tour, the position may also involve long driving days, extended schedules, overnight travel, and multi-day road trips. Guides should be comfortable spending extended periods on the road and maintaining a high level of energy, professionalism, and attentiveness throughout the guest experience.

During the busy summer season, greater availability is strongly preferred, particularly for guides interested in receiving more assignments and expanded hours.

Applicants should be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
